Pastel Still Life Project

I didnt't really plan on my composition. I just saw the paints and arranged them to look in a some what organized but messy way. A thumbnail sketch is a sketch that you do before you actaully draw. It makes sure what your drawing has a good composition. the viewfinder helped me focus more on the paints and not the background. I made the items look three dimensional by highlighting where the light hits and shading where it doesn't. I created a light source by making a shadow on the opposite side of where the light was actually coming from.
